OEM CD PLAYER ERROR PLEASE HELP
I have a 2002 honda accord se coupe and was wondering about the oem cd player radio. I bought the car used and the dealer said he didnt know what to do. The cd player seems to have a code set up on it. And you have to enter 5 digits into it. Well i have no clue the code and wondering if there is a way to reset this? Also does anyone else have this feature so that ur cd player will not work with out the code?

RE: OEM CD PLAYER ERROR PLEASE HELP
You get the code FROM the dealer. Its a saftey feature so if someone steals your radio they cant use it. You need the code. I did this with someone elses car, you call the honda dealership, give them all your infomation and they make sure its your car, then they will give you the code.
Or you can just go and buy a aftermarket deck

RE: OEM CD PLAYER ERROR PLEASE HELP
a little more help on this. to call the dealer you will need your serial number on the stereo. To get this: hold program buttons 1 & 6 at the same time. This will give you the format of L### and then L###. The L's mean it will be a random letter and the numbers will be what you want to write down. There will be two sets on the screen. So just but the first set minus the letter with the second set minus the letter and you will have ######. Now I havnt done this in a while so it might be L####, but you get the point. After you get this, you can call the dealer and they will def. be able to give you the code. Dont try to guess the code, if you try more than i think 5 times, you have to leave the radio on for an hour before trying again.
