Default one speaker

hey , i need some answers quick! I just hooked up my head unit and the left speaker will not work, but the right one is, i used the factory wiring, i had no choice as someone snipped all the wires before i had the car! Anyways, what could be causing this left speaker problem, bad speaker(its the original stock one, but it worked before i took out the old head unit) or wiring? the wiring is with bullet connectors

I had a similar problem. The previous owner had taken it to a shop to have his stereo installed. They butchered the wiring job. So I rewired the entire thing. Works flawlessly now.

Grab, or borrow a tester from a local car shop, and test the wiring, if your not getting any signal to the speaker, you know you don't have anything comming through the wires, then pull the head unit and test the connections there.

If the power is at the head unit, your problem lies in the wiring somewhere, most likely behind the dash.

thanks for that advice, well i did my little test with the new speaker and it worked! for a few seconds, and then i noticed, as i move the speaker around while connected, it will go in and out of working, so i pulled some more of the stock wire out of the door and noticed it started to work, and that there is connections in there, bullet connectors, so mabey these are loose, ill have to look at those wires this friday as i work all week and will have no time, so i think its just something loose in the door,, nothing major, i know the speaker will woork now, i just have to tighten up the connection, any suggestions?? should i snip the bullets out and solder the wires directly(the stock ones)??
