In about a week I am going to get 1 Rockford Fosgate P3 12" sub powered by a Kicker monoamp putting out 480 watts at 2 ohms. The sub is rated at 500 watts RMS. How do you think this setup will sound? I'm not a car audio expert by any means but I was told this setup will pound pretty good. Any thoughts?

 

the enclosure that you put it in is just as important as all the other components. seems like a decent setup though

lol, i've actually never heard this before but it's completely true
If you get a ported box you will hear a lot more bass but a sealed will have more punchy bass and clarity
It will sound fine, it's good that you're running it at it's RMS
If you really want pounding though I suggest getting two 10 inch subs in a ported to save money, it will obviously be more to get two 12s, but if loudness is what you're looking for, keep in mind
