Sound wise, they should be great. My car is an EX and it had 6-1/2 in the front and 6-1/2 in the back, the only thing is the hole patterns may not line up so have some washers and/or a drill handy. My back speakers had this odd hole pattern and I had to use pliers to bend down the flanges on my aftermarket JVC speakers and then use washers under the screws. After that they screwed down very solidly to the baffles and I re-installed them.

Pioneer is a pretty good brand, you should be fine with them as long as you get them installed properly.

They look like they would sound fine.
Pioneer is a brand I always trust.
Do you have a stock headunit?

i got some old pioneer speakers from my dad about 2 years ago..had them in my old civic and they sounded pretty good...then i wrecked it and gave them to this other kid...he still has them in his civic...so they should be fine...as stated above pioneer is a good brand...cant really go wrong as long as your not building a compatition system or anything.

If your spending budget is that low I wouldn't really worry about much anyway, you won't have the biggest difference in quality amongst speakers until you spend on the upwards of 60 o 70 dollars
but if you really are concerned, go to an audio store and just listen to the display
otherwise, there's not too much difference amongst speakers in that price range
I'd personally save up
unless you don't plan to amplify?

Im probably too late to answer your question, but I have these exact speakers in my 98 EX, and they sound great.

I had no problems puttting them in--the holes lined up fine. They sound great. I have these in my doors, and Pioneer 6X9's in the back, and a Sony 1000W amp pushing my two 10" Pioneer subs in the trunk. All in all they do sound good, especially for the price.
