Default PIONEER SPEAKERS

hi, i just got some 6x9 pioneer speakers in the back of my 1994 honda civic hatch. but i can't get the grills in properly i think maybe because the plate the speakers are inserted to over the boot may be a bit small. but it doesn't make any sense. any ideas to hold it down.

these are the speakers in the attachment and the grill is the one that goes over the speaker and inserts with the speaker directly if you know what i mean. not actually a grill attached to the car.

You could cut the grill attached to the car so that there is room.
