Default questions about OEM headunit

Hi, I have a 2001 civic lx sedan. I had a pioneer head unit with a cd slot that i took out of a 93 accord. my question is that the oem cassette player conforms to the head unit so is there a holder i can buy to hold the pioneer and does anyone know how to wire the pioneer headunit to the indash 6 cd player?

i dont fully understand your perdicament but i will try and help
it sounds like u want to put ur old headunit into your car to replace the tape deck. if you have a factory cd changer it is impossible (well near impossible) to retain a factory changer, but whats the point when u can get an mp3 cd player or hook your ipod up. but you could jsut hook ur old unit up, you just need a new dash kit and wiring harness which is available at electronics shops and places like walmart

yes i think hes talking about a dash kit. you can find those at any store than sells car audio. they will usually cost you about 25 to 35 dollars for the dash kit and wiring harness.

well im going to be replacing the oem cassette head unit with a pioneer deh-p6300 but i also have a in-dash 6 cd-changer that came with the honda was wondering if the changer had the ip-bus connector that connected with the pioneer and would work. and i just bought the kit and wire hareness which solves me putting the unit in just wondering if it works with the factory cd-changer
