In my other vehicle I can pick up stations fine that in the Civic will hardly come in at all. Is there even an antennae on this thing? Just hoping for some tips.

it should have an antenna.....if it is up and still doesnt work.......then ud wanna check behind the headunit and make sure its hooked up......drive to NJ ill fix it. lol

 

dont know much about the 2004's. however my sister-in-law had the same problem on her corolla. i found the antennae on the roof above the driver side door and simply extended it by hand. no more bad reception.

 

teh antenna is in the rear glass. My 2003 EX has been to dealer twice with no result. Very frustated

 

I had the same problem on my 2000 civic, on my car i just had to extend the anntina out almost all the way,works perfect now

 

yea the 2004 has no external antenna its in the rear glass with the rear defroster. the only thing i can recommend is pay someone to smash out your back window so you can claim it on insurance and pray you get a better antenna with your next window lol

 

or just mount a fricken antenna, forget the smashing, although it does sound fun

or you could try this link. I used one like this on an old classic car, the owner didn't want to put an antenna on the outside of his car, so i just put it under the dash. Works really well. you could put it between the headliner and the roof and you'll never know it's there.
