Default Relay help.. Stumped

Ok, so I am trying to wire some daytime running lights to my work vehicle, but need to get the proper relay setup to make it function properly, and I am not sure what I am doing.

First of all, I have been reading for hours exactly how relays function, and the different types. I have narrowed my plan down to 2 relays, but one I can't seem to find.

In order to wire a setup that will only run during the day, and only when the parking or headlights are off, I figure I will run 2 relays, both 4 pin standard simple relays, 30Amp with a fused 30amp power supply directly from the battery.

My idea is to run a switch off ACC power directly to 1 relay, sending power to the 2nd relay, then to the lights. Using relay 1 as a normally open relay, which will be off without ACC power, and relay 2 as a normally closed relay, that will keep power going to the lights. When the parking lights or heads are turned on, relay 2 will sever the connection to the DRL's and allow them to be off, even if the ACC is on, so long as the headlights are not turned off.

It's basicly like any setup on most newer vehicles, I am just bypassing the ****ty expensive design and doing it myself, where I can switch them so if I don't want them, I can kill them alltogether.

I haven't been able to find a normally closed 4 pin relay, and am worried I am going at this the wrong way. Does this sound like the best idea? Anyone smarter then me in the world of Relays wanna help?

I am installing some factory fogs as well, shortly, and will need a similar setup for them. Damn I need a new box or something under my hood :-)

Thanks for any advice! I trust you guys more then any other site out there.

long story short, I pulled the headlight switch and noticed there was a wire loose. After I re-soldered it, the drl's work as good as new. Funny stuff.

I still think my relay idea would have worked though. Oh well, go figure.
