running wire
well first off what year civic.........
i know for my 99 civic EX
take out the battery and then remove the 3bolts to remove the battery tray.... then ya see a rubber grommet with abunch of factory wires going thru it... BEFORE PUNTURING... check out under the dash and check how those wires are ran!!!! you dont want to poke something sharp thru it and punture any other wires!
once your sure where the wires direction go thru just use a razor blade or small knife to slit the rubber grommet big enough to slide your wire or wires thru......... then once your wires are ran thru enough then use some silicone to seal the cut rubber grommet and wire water tight again.... then just put it back together... and run your wires down the passenger side trim panels. preaty easy non the less...... then pull up the back seat and run the wires under it into the trunk if you wish.....
reason for cutting into a existing rubber grommet is cause it keeps the power wire the shortest and keeps it mostly hidden in the engine compartment..... the other way to run the wire is from the battery run it over to the drivers side and thiers a unused rubber gromet BUT that runs the wire across your engine bay and the drivers side is the hardest side to run wires due to the trunk release handle and gas door trim piece... plus that extra 5-6ft of wire to run it over to that side... which will inturn cut down drasticaly if your runnen it to the trunk!
