What exactly does it do? I was told the stuff you put in pillows is the exact same stuff.

Thanks
Jeff

It keeps resonance down big time. For example. Ever walked into an empty house? You can fart and it echoes every where. But it doenst echo anymore when you have furniture and carpet and stuff. Thats because al the stuff in the room is absorbing the sound. Why do you think that movie theaters have those HUGE thick curtains lining the walls?

I hope you guys arent saying to put poly fill in to sound dampen it, poy fill is to add cubic inches to your box if its a little on the small side. Most of the time boxes dont need poly fill.

It doesn't add more cubic feet, it just fools it into thinking so. And the dampening the sound thing you keep saying remington is still just absolutly absurd.

What fiberfill is and how it works in a subwoofer enclosure

I don't care what anyone says about caulking for putting boxes together.......use carpenter's glue instead. Caulking is for filling gaps, not holding stuff together. A properly glued joint will stand up better than the wood itself.
