Default Stereo Questions!

I'd like to upgrade or atleast do something with my radio..

It's a Pioneer DEH P6000UB. It's "alright" but there's no subwoofer, and no amp, just the 4 speakers..

I don't know too much about this kinda stuff, would it be smarter to just upgrade to an entire new stereo and stuff, and buy a sub and amp (possibly capacitor) or would it be okay to just get a sub for the one I have in now?

Basically, I want a subwoofer and I'm not sure how to approach it. Do the amps matter?

The deck you have now looks pretty nice. You wont need to upgrade it. All you need to do is buy the sub, amp, wiring kit, and new speakers all around.

the type of amp you buy depends on the sub(s) you buy.

the door speakers I have look pretty new, same age if not newer than the stereo. they're pioneers aswell. why would i need to upgrade them? something to do with the subs and stuff? when i turn the bass up, the speakers sound like ****, so if there was a sub connected, could i turn the speakers bass down and let the sub do the work? also, what amperage should i look for and why?

well pick a sub or 2 then well let u know what amp
the speakers will be ok but nothing special
and you should not have to change your bass settings for your speakers or subs

don't know anything about it, i THINK the brand is kicker but I could be wrong. I'd rather spend $300 and get new sony speakers, radio, amp & sub instead of mismatched, used stuff lol. what do ya think?
