Stop Trunk Rattle
I would suggest taking apart the whole rear license plate assembly, theres a few bolts inside the trunk that will take out the pieces thatt the license plate connects to. I used some old inner tubes from my bikes and that helped. I used expanding foam inside the ribs for the trunk(GO SLOW FOR THIS, a little foam goes a long way!!!) Next pull out the tailight assembly, again, a few more strips of rubber wherever plastic has a place to mount to plastic or anything really. Finnally after all was said and done, I found my damn light bulbs were rattling in there holdings, so I got a bottle of rubber cement and glued em in place(wait till the cement is dry before turning lights on rubber cement is flammable!!!!) Ta da!!! 3-4 hours later and almost no money spent my trunk lid was quiet!!!!
ya the trim panels realy needs to be done!
only thing that holds it in is like plastic screws
this is how i did mine just with some cheap gutter guard stuff i bought at menards before.
real cheap and easy to work with still!

i also tinted my liscence plate.LMFAO
those smoke plate covers are just ugly
i was gonna use it BUT looked to ugly so just slaped some tint over the plate and ducttaped it to the back so if a cop has a problem with it ill just cut it off real quick.LMFAO

If your back dash is still rattling you can try what i did to mine. Do whatever your manual says to do to get the rear deck off and then go to a good fabric store. Get some green foam(it the stuff they use in chair seats to make them soft to sit in) They should have some small peices that you can get for a buck or two. You only need about one square foot to do this. Then get some GOOD double sided tape(the wider the better). Cut the foam into 1 1/2" strips about 6 inches long and tape them to the back deck(the metal part, NOT the plastic part). Then just reinstall your rear deck cover and your done. It took me about a 4 hours because I have to take out my back seats and all jst to get the damn deck off, but your might not be so hard. All and all though, five bucks spent. And no more rattling!!! Hope it helps.
have you figured out the cause of the rattle???????
if you can push down on your trunk and the rattling spots then try adjusting your trunk latch. i think on these civics you can adjust the lower catch bar.

I said it up at the top, it is the bottom corners of the trunk rattling against the body of the car. License plate is dynamatted and fine, no rattle on the top, just on the bottom corners where metal hits metal
