check out the local home depot......ask for some 3/4 inch MDF (medium density fiberboard). Get some of that along with some liquid nails.......and a tape measure and get to work.

Youll love 3/4 MDF. Its good stuff. IF you can get a hold of applewood do it but if you on a budget, go with the MDF. Dont forget, once you build the box, run caulk on the cracks and run your finger down to seal all thae cracks, that way you will have a nice deadend, tight, sealed box. If its gonna be your first box, forget bass ports. Sealed boxes handle pressure better if done right. The subs will also be suspended better and are very less likely to bottom out on you.

Applewood huh?

I never heard that before. Does it finish nicely or is it like pine. Might be interesting to use on home speaker enclosures if it does finish nicely.

Yes, they are used more on home audio... not cheap stuff. I think its like $50 for a 6x4 board.

Yeah, seems a shame to get a nice expensive piece of hardwood and then cover it in carpet and hide it in the trunk. MDF for the trunk.

Where are you located and can you be a little more specific on what you want? We may be able to work out a good deal.

Do you have any pics that are similar to what you want?

Are you talking fiberglass or just square boxes?
