i'm gonna put a 15" dvcsoundstream in spare tire area... anyone know how to measure a box and tell how much air space is in there?i need 2.0-3.5 square feet of air space for this sub.and how will i wire this sub to a mono block class d amp @ 2ohms? thanks!

 

take your internal dimemsions - length x width x heidth,, then divide the total by 1728 that will give you your air space in cubic ft ,,,,

and as far as wiring it needs to be a dual 4 ohm to get a 2 ohm load, you just wire it in paralell pos from coil 1 to pos from coil 2, neg from coil 1 to neg to coil 2

 

Ported or sealed?

Either way you figure the external dimensions and subtract 1.5" from each measurements, multiply all together and divide. Then if its ported figure out how big your port it.
