sub enclosure mounting ideas?
my sub enclosure is not attached to anything in my trunk and it slides around when i make hard turns. it's a wooden box with carpeting on the outside...
how can i secure the thing so it won't slide around?

yeah i was thinking about velcro, but will the adhesive stick to the carpeting? both the enclosure and the trunk floor are carpeted. besides that, i like the velcro idea in case i need to move or remove my sub temporarily for extra space.

Staple the strips in place. I actually attached an "L" bracket to the board under the trunk carpet and then to my sub box...works pretty well. But after some recent pics thnx to 98 EJ8 I've been inspired to try something new Not a complete copy, but I will be ditching my spare.
LOL when I put my sub box in the trunk of my neon with brackets screwing through the board...I ended up with 4 nice holes in the spare [:-] hehe didn't notice till I got a flat running around town...luckily I was only a couple blocks away from Schwabbs

I would just use some velcro... It will stick im sure and if it dont stick all that good i would do what teh other guy said and staple it.. Use some small one and im sure it wil be fine. Our use the metal in your trunk and find a way to put a brace on it and apply ur box to it..

So far just the adhesive backing on the velcro has worked for a box I did in my cousins Cherokee. And I think taking that offroad = the abuse of hard cornering. Idk about the carpet on your box, but if it as tightly knit as the trunk carpet it should adhere to it fine.
