Default Sub Help!

Well first of all, im a complete car audio newb but im looking for some subs. Right now i think i would be willing to spend 300-400 on a completeset up, mabe more if that would get me complete ****. I was just wondering what are some specific brand/model of sub/amps that will fit my price range? Im obviously not looking for a competition series set up, just a bit of nice sounding bass for my 98 hatch. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance,
Mason

alpine type-r's, they have great sound quality and can thump right nicely two of them, $260

this will push them pretty good, not to thier full extents, but they will bump. This is the best bang for your buck i could find.
amp-$190
TOTAL=$450, add a box and an install kit, ide say your staring around 550 bucks.

this is.... over your limit... but still, lol, its a nice set up. hope it helps
