sub question
my friend has an '05 civic ex coupe and he wants to get a sub but doesnt want to take up a whole lot of trunk space. does anyone have any ideas that we can do that would save space and what equipment would be good that would still be loud even if it were a smaller size system??
That will depend A LOT on what you listen to and how you listen to it...if you dont like listening to loud deep bass...you could get away with a decent 10" sub in a sealed box. If you want the sub to have a little more range (and even if you didnt I would suggest it anyway) you could do a 12" in a sealed box. Most 12's will require ~1cu.ft. of volume for a sealed enclosure. As far as what type..thats mostly personal preference...I'd say go down to the local car audio shop and have a listen...there's almost always a display where you can listen to a variety of subs. In my personal experience...JL, Polk, Alpine, Infiniti are all good tight subs with a clean sound. Rockford (at least the power dvc's that I had) are good if you want a loud system. If you wanna spend a little less money but still have a decent sound...I'd say pioneer and kenwood cover that.
Hope any of that helps...

i think he might know he could get only one sub
anyways....there is a diy on here for stickingthe sub in the floor of the trunk, also, just get creative, get a smaller box and you can stick it on the left or right side of the trunk, kinda, hidden away
