It is called gray felt... use some all purpose spray on adhesive glue to stick it on and you're good to go... I used Remmy's DIY to build my box and I love it! If you want pictures I'll send some on how I built it.

Just know that I had a specific look I was going for in my trunk... FUNCTIONALITY! I can put stuff all around it and under it so i am waay happy with it.
I have a ton of more pix but this is a little bit of what I did with my friend.

ok like this

most lumber.... home depo.... lowes.... andi think menards.....
carry it. just be sure its 3/4MDF
that way its heavy duty and the bass wont shake it to hell!!!!
but if your doing a tiny system under 500watts then 1/2inch MDF would probably be strong enough just might have to brace it alittle in the middle.

get some good ol' OSB lol. j/k. i dont think 1/2 MDF is really worth the effort unless you just happen to have a sheet laying around. by the time you worry about trying to brace it and make sure it doesn't flex i'd rather just spend a few extra bucks and buy the 3/4.

He's right... and the board of3/4 from homedepot was like 40 bucks and the whole install costed about 70 bucks... but that is for a fully custom box that you will absolutely love!

And if you really want to go crazy, addiction2bass has the absolute perfect setup, although trunk space is less. As for loud, no doubt that addict's setup is the best, the sub facing up like mine is loud enough for me but gives me a little more room to work with...
