sony's subs look good imo, but they're not even close to the best in terms of sound...

 

I have 12'Rockford Punch 3's and they sound GREAT. Best ones I have ever owned! I have a nice class D amp but Im going to get a class D Rockford amp and I should be doing good then.

 

Alpine are good every time. They are a reliable brand that has good support, go there to get your sub. RF and kicker are just as good too. Remember that you will probably be getting some of the lower end stuff, so dont worry as to who you get, they will all be about the same overall quality. just get a good brand name.

 

this year's the rockford p3s suck *****. we have gone through 4 display subs at work running off of around 300 watts, and they are supposed to handle 500. the cone either cracks, or the surround tears itself appart. not pretty. but their amps are pretty good

kickers are pretty good as well, but i still go with alpine

Dude Get 1 12W7 From JL.... OMG There Impressive.... If you got the money spend it on that... Sony is junk they are called exploid for a reason..... Thats about all there good for.... Also what kind of system are you trying to build? MTX is a good trusty company but some of there products just dont have it.....
