Hello I have a 1995 honda civic ex with a b18b1 swap. I recently tried to put in a tachometer. I wired the tacho signal to the blue wire on the drivers side where I was told, the red to a swiched 12v, the black to ground. Whatever I do the tacho will not turn on or light up. All the wires have power (except ground) at the plug in for the tacho. And the tacho is new in box. What do I do or check for?

 

Have you tried moving the ground to a different location?

 

I have it bolted to a metal spot under the dash. The bolt is very tight, and the wire seems secure. The tacho doesn't even light up or move or anything I also tried hooking the light Wire to a switch and constant 12 v wire. Nothing worked

 

I also used the end of the ground wire as a ground when I check the other wires for electricity and that's how I found out they all have power.
