Default Tachometer delayed?

Hello. I have a 1995 civic ex with a swapped turbo b18b1 engine. I recently wired a tachometer and when I drive the car the tachometer is delayed. The needle moves slowly and takes about a half a second to move after the throttle is pushed down. The stock tacho in the cluster still works great and moves sharply. Why is my new tach moving a slowley? Thanks.

Why not just continue to use the tach in the gauge cluster? Why do you need two tachs to look at?

The dash cluster was damaged, speedometer fuel meter ect, not only did then not work but the cluster had a lot of scraches ect. only dial that worked was the tach. so instead of replacing the cluster I wanted to go for something alittle nicer with aftermarket gauges. Tach was the first wired. I just kept the cluster tach in to see how close the readings would be. But the aftermarket one is about a second slower.
