I'm about to change my rear speakers on an 05 LX sedan. Question is do you really have to take off the back seat (It's a 60-40 split, which makes it more complicated) and how do you take off the plastic panel?

Also installed are 6.5" factory tin can speakers. Has anyone tried to fit a 7" with a little grinding?

 

just lay down the back of the seat and the plastic should be held on with clips so it should bascially just pop off with a little force
