Default Tape deck Heeeelp! 97 lx

I just bought the car and I want to use one of those cheap cassette adapters to plug my Ipod on, but the tape deck is stuck in eject mode and doesn't let the cassette get in completely into place. so I want to take it out an try to "repair it" ( ), but I have no idea how to do that.

is there any guide online that I can use to uninstall that part?

or somebody knows how to?

Sounds like it is broken. I would advise just looking into getting an entry level (but decent, not crap like Dual) new head unit... one with a 3.5mm aux port on the front. The aux cable is very cheap, much like the cassette adapters. Also, I am pretty sure you will get better sound quality with that than the cassette adapter.

MUCH better sound quality. And if you have an Ipod, there are a few somewhat cheap head units with USB ports to hook in (so it charges, and has very good quality, and volume controls on Ipod don't matter while plugged in). I had an older head unit that was missing USB, but had the RCA Aux in, I used that for 4 years. Then I found a iPod hookup that goes into the CD changer port. Love it, I no longer blow out my ear drums when I get out of the car and put on the headphones (forgetting to turn the ipod volume down).
