Why rockford?
How much "bump" do you actually want? Blow windows out? Tight n clean? Deep?
All of these goals factor in to what equipment you should go with. Also, what's your budget?
On the subs, different voice coil configurations are going to work better with different amps. If you get a dual 2 ohm sub and run teh coils parallel on an amp that only drops to 2 ohms, then you are going to be replacing your amp soon.
