Well what do you think about this system?
Not bad for a starter system. All that is is just raw, rough, bass loudness. You wont like it if you popped in a Sade track because those subs want some metallica or bone thugz.
if you want your neighbors house to shake then its a good system, but if you better sound quality just get like 1 12' sub
i do have to say the price isn't too bad either

I know it wont be the best sounding bass but i haven't had bass in a while now. Last system i had in a car was almost 5 years ago and i dont remember what to look for when buying a system so i thought id go the easy route and buy a complete one from a store. What would you suggest amg6975 for a good sounding bass system? I dont understand what your asking jhsplaya08, are you asking if i have aftermarket speakers already?
Well, I'd get new speakers all the way around. I'm assuming yuo have a decent head unit so you're prolly set with that. Then just get a moderately powered 12 or pair of 10's if you really want some bass. 300-500 watts rms is a lot and will hit hard.
If you just get a pair of 10's and a huge amp and just leave everythign else you literally will have nothing but bass. From my stand-point that sounds like terd.
I have one 12 getting 300 watts and it's almost turned off because it's so overpowering, and I have high end component speakers getting 90 watts on each side so, with much less power to your speakers you'll definitely want less power to your subs. I've heard that 2:1 is a good ratio... two watts to the sub for every watt you have going to the speakers. Seems to work pretty well for me.

Well like i said before i like just raw bass but im biased because that is all i have ever had in a car. All the speakers and cd player are aftermarket. The speakers are kenwood in the front (dont know the specs) and pioneer in the back (60 nom power and 200 max), they were already in the car when i bought it and the head unit is JVC. Im still thinking about getting that Rockford Fosgate deal, it is only 150 RMS and if its too loud ill just turn the amp down. What do you think?
