All I am trying to say is that there really is no "added bonus" to oversizing your wires. Unless some day you plan on running record breaking amounts of power you'll never need that much wire. I've always run 12ga because it's what I had and I knew it would handle anything I would ever dream of running...the only thing that got me was saying that 10 would be better than 14 for this persons application...when 14 is more that adequate.

Better safe than sorry. no, there isn't any advantages to oversizing, except for more current flowing capabilities. But it's better than having too small of a wire and not getting the most out of your system.
