Default what type of headunit?

im getting a new headunit for my car? what type of headunit should i get for my car..i want to get new all around speakers and im not sure what type to go with. im thinking pioneer but all i want in the speakers is a nice crisp sound with alittle bit of bass but not to over powering. should i stick with a pioneer headunit or whatever type speakers i get? whats the first thing to look at when buying a headunit? i know a headunit is a imporant part in speakers. thanks for the answers.

I would recommend Alpine or Pioneer and even potentially Eclipse for a head unit. The only thing you need to watch with the Pioneer is that if you accidentally short out your RCAs the pico fuse will blow and you will encounter alternator whine if this does happen.

Your choice of speakers will affect the sound quality much more than the head unit will. You do not need to match them by brand.
