I'm sooooo glad it wasn't your fuses!! I would have had to call you a big douche if it was!! lol

But, yeah, grounds are always tricky. They look like they are good, but it's hard to detect without a multimeter (voltage meter)!

It's nice to hear that you're bumpin' again!
these type e's in my civic just bumppp haha.. i would've let you call me a douche, i have the ground hooked up to one of the taillight bolts now-- way better then it was forsure.

It is most likely the connections of the fuse holder to the wires. its when you tighten them to much they splice down the middle and the screw isn't pushing on enough of the wire to make a good connection. So retwist them and put them back in. this time don't tighten them to much or it will happen again

The ground is one of the most important part of your system, really.

Okay, first thing is does your amp have 2 little lights? (one is usually green, one is usually red) If the green light is lit, then the amp is working and turned on, providing current as it should. If the red light is on, it means the circuit protection of the amp has been turned on. Circuit protection comes on to stop the amp from frying itself, this is normally down to a bad earth, but can be caused by things like shorts in your speakers ( + touching the - wire).

The first thing to check is: Do either of the amp lights light up? If so which one? If its the red light, disconnect the amplifier completely (yes, completely, Speaker wires, phono leads, power, ground, and Remote) and leave it disconnected for about half hour. whilst its disconnected, put your red wire of the multi meter to the red power lead, and then put the black wire to the earthing point you have chosen. You should get some kind of reader on the amplifier (around 10- 12 volts depending on your setup) If you dont get a reading on the multi meter (i.e. it stays at 0.00) then you do not have a good enough earth connection. Sand down the bolt and any surrounding area of any paint or treated material, and then try again. If the meter still says no, its time to find a new earthing point.

If none of the lights come on the amp, then put the red wire of the multi meter to the remote lead, and then put the black wire to the earth point and check for power to the remote lead. If you get a reading of 0 on the meter and you know the earth point is fine, then the remote lead is buggered.

If the green light comes on the amp, but your not getting any sound out of the woofers, turn the gains on the amp really low, and then try and connect another speaker to the amp (a door speaker or 6x9 or something will do) and then check that sound is coming out of that speaker.

Post here once you have tried it all and lemme know if it works or not.
