Yeah, that sucks. I would only buy an EG if I were in Cali just so I wouldnt have to worry about OBD conversions and such.

If this is an SCCA Region, then you will be in Street Modified(SM). Not sure how competitive your region is but SM is a very fast class where I'm at.

Ive been told its pretty fast here. Im in KY and we have an STO ive been told I can run in too.

 

I have started autocross as much as i can and am building my car for my class. with you car mods by scca you would probably going to be in street prepared. but with an engine swap i think you get put in a special class for heavily modified vehicles. here is the 2009 scca rules. just read through each of the classes allowed modifications and you will find where you fit in. most people at the events are very helpful and the first couple times you race you are in a novice class where you don't get points http://scca.com/documents/Solo_Rules...Solo_Rules.pdf

 

I ran in SM, but I also could have run in STO.
