how did your friend did on time?

 

the GT is pretty much stock. he was running onsome old and worn R componds that day, it was about 20degrees outand still managed to take 10th outa 86 in PAX.

just to give an idea of how we compared..

me- 48.472 5th outa 9in STS, 35th in PAX
Legacy GT- 44.340 1st outa 2 in ESP, 10th in PAX
SI- 48.473 6th outa 9 in STS, 36th in PAX
WRX- 48.269 3rd outa 5 in STX, 33rd in PAX
MR2(not pictured)- 49.864 4th outa 5 in STS2, 51st in PAX

 

is it expensive to do those runs? like do u havta pay each time or something? lol it looks like so much fun, but i dont think anyone does that around here, kinda sux

 

its fairly cheap. for the region i mostly race with, it used to be $25 for scca members and $35 for non-members. but now with new insurance policies and otherjunk, they've raised to to $30 scca members and $40 non-members. u dont pay for each run, u pay that flat rate(the ones i just mentioned) and u get how ever many runs the region allows, and that usually depends on weather, amount of ppl and how fast the day goes if ppl are doing what their supposed to do. that particular day, we got 8 runs, which is double of what we noramally run because there were less than 100 ppl so things went fast. last summer we'd see as many as 250+ ppl running and we barely got 4 runs...its money well spent IMO. not only is it a ton of fun, it greatly improves ur driving skills which could possibly save ur life out on the roads..

 

oooo i c...so its like a year payment, yea i wonder if there is any around here....that does seem like a good thing to b doing.......since there arnt any tracks around either!!!![:'(]lol

hahaha thats the dude with the wrx(his miata is without a head till fridayso hes driving the wrx). hes.....a lil crazy hahaha. sadly he was right, i didnt beat himbut i'll hopefully have him next race. he'll have his miata back, with a lot of new goodies, but ill have good tires and the help of novice school under my belt so it should be interesting

 

I would love to do that... and I think we have the same headunit.
