Default Looking for a mechanic in Edmonton AB.

Hello all,

This is my first post and I am looking for some info about reliable mechanics that are reasonable in price. I recently purchased a 2002 civic LX and it needs new struts and some of the quotes I got were rediculous (KalTire/$645).

I was wondering if any of you knew a place were I could go to get my car checked out. The dealership that I bought it from is a little sketchy so I dont really want to take it back there.

PS: I live in Edmonton AB.

Thanks,

Mike from Edmonton

Hey man welcome to the forum

Honestly you can do this yourself. Just buy a spring compressure and grab a ratchet with a 10mm and a 12mm socket. A breaker bar would help but it is not needed if you can put a lil push into it. It is really easier than you think. Jack your car up and take a look at it.

First of all, thanks for the response.

Unfortunately, I am not that mechanically inclined and do not have a place to do it. The people in charge of my parking lot hate when I do work on my car and hate it even more when i do it on the street.

Do you know of any reliable mechanics at reasonable prices?

In the past I owned an '04 Civc LX and took it to Toptech Automotive (12516 - 124st)...they're just off the Yellowhead, north on 124 st.

It's run by a couple of people who used to work at Alberta Honda for many years and then went on their own. I was quite satisfied with the work that I had done.

thanks.
