I'm getting one this week. I'm gonna go with the cheapest I can find, but from a trusted company, Wacom.

It's the Bamboo, their beginner model. Looks pretty sharp though. I hope it's easy to use and helps me with a bunch of stuff you can't do with the mouse.

 

i had a toshiba satellite r-15... thing was awesome... cause it was both a normal laptop and a tablet... but then the screen broke... should of had the warranty.....

 

i dont own one. But i do tech support for a company that uses about 20, and i really like them.

only downside is that the screens can be kind of small....

my mom bought a wacom tablet cause she thought photoshoping would be easier..but she had no hand eye cordination. now it just sits on my floor and i use it every now and then..its pretty cool


she also bought a tablet PC which is the most fun..makes cutting stuff out super easy...thats where it at..

People knock bamboo but I have one and its pretty decent...if your gonna do it go with the large one, the medium is a little bothersome. It will **** you of when u start to use it, but you'll soon get used to it. If your good at drawing with a pen or pencil, its right up your alley

 

Yeah Hail, I'm talking about the usb one.

SoCal are you talking about the regular as opposed the little BAMBOO FUN or whatever it's called? I got the regular one. One of my friends has it and says it's okay. It should do until I decide if I'm going to take photoshop further.
