Default Damn Vinyl...

so, I worked on taking off that damn vinyl today, got it all off without a problem, but now...i can't get the damn glue residue to come off... I've tried goo gone and that did nothing, so what is my next best option, i was thinking of trying rubbing compound but that would eff up my clear coat correct?

Blow torch.

Try like Scratchx, something that kinda cuts in a lil bit, Scratchx won't take away clear though so don't worry.

You might have to use strong soap and warm water, plus scrubbing a lot...

Goo-Gone? I used that when pulling my pin striping off.

try some wd-40 or pb blaster but make sure you wash and wax your car after.

if goo gone didn't work try (strange that it didnt i use it almost everyday)
rapid remover - any sign shop will have it
wd-40 does work
gas
small amount of laquer thinner (be careful a little goes a long way)
denatured alcohol 70% or higher for the small stuff dont use it for large sections it wont do anything

at this point in the process make sure the temp. of the car is cool dont do this in the sunlight it will make it worse.

I would try some auto body panel pre clean on a towel and let lay it on the area to loosen it up then wipe it off. Its not quite as strong as laquer and you wont damage your paint

did you use a bug/tar pad like this?

Use this after spraying goo gone on your car. I just had a similar issue when doing my girlfriends car. Worked like a charm
