Default Diamond Plate sheet metal

I've been working on my cars interior alot lately and just ordered a matching shift boot and ebrake boot along with a full dash kit in red carbon fiber which should look pretty spiffy.. but anyways.. I was wondering how to go about installing diamond plate sheet metal flooring for the driver and passenger seats in the front. I was thinking of taking a large piece of cardboard and making a stencil of how I want the shape of the sheet metal to be. I would then bring it to a hardware store and get two pieces cut. Then do I mold them to shape my flooring? How do I go about that? And should I bolt them to the floors or are they heavy enough to just sit there?

when i worked at a performance shop, when someone wanted us to make dimond plate floor mating, we would get the shape then bring it to a place that has a big lazer machine to cut out that kind of stuff, its was like 80 a matt or something rediculis like that..because they had to designe it on a computer then enter it into the computer on the cutter machine..lots of work, they look sooo sick tho, and there heavy enough that you dont need to bolt them down or anything, the thing i didnt like tho...if its raining and you get into your car with wet feet, all the rain just slides off the side of the metal and onto your carpit and makes a mess
