Default proper way to apply wax

ok, before i do something stupid and mess up my brand new paint job by applying wax incorrectly, wuts the proper way to apply it, i have the mcquires wax that everyone says is good, how often should i apply it on a freshly painted black civic, also can the wax harm the paint ?? also the wax comes with its own pad to rubb the wax on the car, so i plan to use that

How recently was it painted? You'll want to wait 2-3 months after the paint job to let the paint fully cure before you apply any wax...

Like mlobitz said you should wait 2-3 months to let the paint cure but its good to wax your car atleast once a month and you the spray wax after washes it keeps your paint mint!!

but like they said alow 2-3months after fresh paint before waxing.... ya dont want anything to penatrate the paint!
my old impala had paint messed up like that! you could see EVERY WIPE they did that soaked into the paint! i even water sanded and buffed the paint and it never changed! i had to repaint....
