Default spray wax vs paste wax

I've always used old school paste turtle wax, but yesterday I tried the spray on kind. It is way easier, and looks just as nice, but i cant help but wonder if it is really protecting my car as well as the paste?

I'm a little skeptical, its only a light misting and you wipe it right off. anyone have opinions on the spray?

i've used both a lot too, but i've basically settled on spray since, as you said, it has the same affect and is a lot more convenient and speedy

I have some of the Turtle Wax synthetic spray wax and I like it a lot. It is so much easier to apply and leaves the car super smooth and also beads water nicely.

Also you don't need that much product to do the whole car.

Ive always wanted to try that spray stuff.. but it seemed to me that it would probably leave it oily or something.

use two towels. either spray directly on one towel and apply, or spray on car and spread with one towel, than take another towel and buff all the excess off. usually it ends up not being gunky or oily at all.

i've used turtle wax ice, meguirs, and mothers, all work fine and similar imo

I'm fond of that turtle wax ice stuff. liquid synthetic. Rub on, buff off. Nowhere near as hard as the paste.

I'll never go back to regular wax. I'm all about the synthetic sealer/polish now.

Goes on and off easy, and doesn't leave white crap in the trim or emblems.

But when I'm really lazy, I'll use the quick detailer sprays.

I've yet to see any spray on/synthetic wax who's results can even hold a candle to that of a carnauba wax
