Default Wax glass?

Last time I washed and waxed my car (using Turtle Wax Ice synthetic wax), I was a little careless and spilled some on my windshield. When I wiped it off, I of course ended up with a large waxed area. Since I didn't feel like scrubbing it all off, I just applied wax to the rest of the windshield. (when the car got dirty, I wanted it to look uniform, not with one splotch of really clean glass and the rest dusty, or vice versa.)

Just wondering if this is a bad thing to do. I haven't noticed any ill effects. If anything, it was kinda nice this morning. I was driving through some mist and light rain on the way to work this morning at around 65 mph. The mist beaded and rolled off the windshield. I didn't have to use wipers the whole way to work.

I use the same wax and I put it on my windows. It says on the bottle that you can use it on the windows and trim.

I work for a large car wash business and Rain-X is essentially a liquid form of wax designed for windows. I wax my windows too

I polish my windows with the same Zaino stuff as my paint.

I also spray the Z6 shine enhancer quick detail spray on them too.

There's nothing like seeing those really shiny black tinted windows.
