My emissions warning light came on and a garage friend diagnosed it as fault ECM P1259 - V-tec System Malfunction "Live Readings". I wastold it could cost £1,000 or more to repair. Friend cannot tackle thisl. Has anyone had this problem diagnosed? Don't want to be at the mercy of Honda dealer - would like to be as informed as possible before I approach them.

Would be grateful for any advice.
