98 civic ecu upgrade?
I recently bought a 98civic ex that had an engine swap to a b18c with p72-1 head. i am wanting to improve performance with a chip and have been told to look for a new ecu on ebay. but i am not sure what i am looking for. any help from the civic community would be a big help.

Phearable.net - Electronic Fuel Injection Tuning Solutions - Hondata, Neptune, Crome, Uberdata, Ectune, AEM, Honda Tuning, Widebands, Fuel Pumps, Intercoolers, Turbos, LS/VTEC, ECU Chipping, Chipped Ecus, P28. Start there. A generic "eBay" chip will not help you as it is a blind "tune" that you cannot control.
Without any modifications (like boosting or internals such as cams), tuning is not required. Do you plan on modifying this motor at all?
I suggest a P28, or a P30 with a Hondata S300 unit. The phearable.net place will give you a P28 with Chrome on it with a custom basemap that you can take to a dealer (I think) and have them dyno tune the vehicle.
If you have no mods except intake/exhaust, you will probably gain about 10 extra hp with a complete tune. However, a complete tune will probably end up costing you around $350-$600 depending on where you go. That price for 10 hp is not really worth it in my opinion.
