well if you have a b16 with a b16 head you need the b16 ecu

possibly, i don't think so, but your engine isn't going to run optimally with the wrong ECU

 

first of all, rule out the exhaust. It might have somethign to do with the wrong ECU, but did i see a CEL on in that? If so, VTEC won't kick in at all. You need to be exactly sure waht head you have and what ECU you have. Can you tell us exactly the ECU code? (p06, p28, etc.)

 

How do you know its a gsr ecu and yes it may damage your engine and your cel should be on

 

The ECU is a chipped p06 for gsr and rev limited is at 9k the check engine is not on and does not come on. it gives power all the way to 9 but i try not to take it ther all the time. the person who sold me the engine keeps saying that it has new cams, cam gears,rods, pistons and whatever so its rebuilt. how can i find out if it is?

Thier is a guy who is known for street tuning wants 200$, Is that gonna take my motor to its full potential or i have to take it apart and see what it has inside first?????
