Default CEL code 1. Need some input.

This is driving me nuts. Code 1. "Oxygen content. Check o2 sensor, heater, and circuit."

Instead of checking it, I just replaced it. It was about time anyway. Reset the ecu and still get stupid CEL. And as long as the signal wire is the white, then I am pretty sure it hooked up correctly so...What the hell? Anybody wanna throw a suggestion out there?

Nah, it's a 4-wire universal replacement, but the wires of the replacement are different colors so I had to match them up. White (signal) to black, 2 black (heater) to whites, and green (ground) to gray. I know, it's confusing me too and I already hooked it up.

I mean it's possible, but unlikely. It has to be something upstream of the clip or something amiss with the wiring, huh?

check if you're getting current to the resistor(heater), make sure the ground is not corroded(where sensor bolts into the manifold).
