Default cel help

hi
i was driving home last nite just taking it easy when the engine light appears i had already driven about 20 miles when it decided to rear its ugly head so the engine was fully warmed up, but this morning went to do the paperclip test and couldnt find the wire down by the ecu and now the light isn t coming back on when driven, the car feels normal to drive no sounds sights or smells to reprt just wondered if someone could help me out or explain to me where to find the diagnostic port
any help greatly appreciated, thanks

There are two different wires; one has has only two ports (service check connector) and the other has a bunch, use the one with the two ports... I wasn't sure if you knew that because I just found out today when I was messing around with my car.
