disconnect your battery for a few minuts, then put the terminals back on, start your car, if the light is out, that means the problome was fixed alredy, if it dosent, get an obd reader, and plug it into your car and it should tell you whats wrong. most shops will do it for you for like 5 bucks.

yeah, chb makes road trips to help people fix their cars

(if they spread their legs and open the poop shoot hahaha )

just get an obd2 reader, its like 75 bux and totally worth it if you work on cars alot, my neighbor has one and i never work on my ride but i used it quite a few times.

ok time for a lesson young one, his car is a 95 civic that means its obd1 not obd2, thats why i posted the howto link, now if it was obd2 why spend 75 when autozone does it for free,
now he is only 20 miles from me,

You can jump the connector. I think it is either a green of blue 2 pin connector. With the key out, you can stick a paper clip in it, then turn the key to accessory, and the CEL should blink a certain amount of times. The error code will be two numbers.

The first number will be shown as a blink every 1 second. The second number will be shown by multiple blinks. You probably won't be able to pick up the second number the first time if you're not ready for the faster blinks, but don't worry, you can just do it again....or just wait since it should repeat itself.

I am hoping that helps.

Edit: I basically summed up what the link that 94chb posted. woops. I should read the thread 100% before replying! lol
