check engine light will not communicate

2004 civic
Will not communicate with scan tool
SRS light flashing
Rough running
No tach
It all started with bolt on alternator snapping causing bet to slip?
All stock
N E help greatly appreciated.

is it just the SRS light flashing or that and the check engine light?

if its only the SRS light flashing you need more sophisticated scan tool then the normal 150 - 200 scan tools you can buy or the ones Autozone and places like that use to scan your car for free

srs light flashing/ check engine light constant
full diagnostics tool, mechanics, gives real time stats ect. Also tried 2 other scan tools.
Could the ecu be fried?
