civic ecu question

Default civic ecu question

i just bought a 1989 civic with a b-16 runs real good and is fast but the person i bought it from said it has the wrong ecu that it has one for a 1989 civic si but i will work and the the v-tech is controlled by a swith on shifter my question is this this affect it in any way should i worry about putting in the right ecu .another thing is that they got the fan hooked up direct to battery i want to know if any has any info on how i can hook it back to stock .thanks for you'retime i can appreciate any comments

it would be a good idea to get a vtec ecu.. a p28 or p30 would be best, but then you have other wiring issue's... as for the fan, its controled by a sensor on the rear of the block... does your car have an aftermarket temp guage? the sensor was probably removed to install the gauge
