I have been wondering this for a while and i was gonna search, then i realized i couldn' think of a good search phrase. Anyway, i was wondering if there was an engine management computer that would allow you to have several different setttings. What i mean is that i want to run really low boost when im jus cruisin to school or work (5-8). And then run a medium boost when im driving around (10-15). And then a high boost when im at the track (15-max). Is there a computer that allows me to do this, where i can hook my computer upto it to change the setting or push a bottom or something?

Get a socketed ECU and tune/burn 3 different maps. Can't you can tune on the fly with Hondata?

You must be dropping a load of cash to do all of this, and if you consider 10-15psi "medium boost."

Anyway, your search wouldn't turn up any answers here. Go to PGMFI.org and start reading. Make sure to come back here and tell us what you learned. There will be a test later.

Im gonna build a GSR motor w/ new pistons and rods. Then a full valve job w/ P&P. After that im gonna boost the crap out of it. I expect it will cost me 10-12gs between the next 2 or 3 years.

I quickly googled the Profec B and it does have preset boost setting. But it seems to me that this is just a boost controller. I don't really have a problem with turning a dial on a boost controller to set my boost, i'm not that lazy. What my question was about was not only the boost aspect of it but also the fuel maps. I wanna do something like where i have different settings for good fuel economy and high performance. I think with the boost controller, im still gonna have only one fuel map so i won't be able to change between a high performance and a fuel economy setting. I think i phrased my question wrong the first time around. Thx for the help guys, and any more input would be appreciated.

Edit: After i read some more stuff on that boost controller, it got me wondering what a boost controller does. Does the boost controller just control the wastegate and the amount of boost or does it have other functions?

Dont' most fuel management systems automatically adjust based on boost pressure?? Well if they don't, I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure you could do that with the Greddy Emanage. You can tune at low boost, save settings, tune at mid boost-save settings, etc. So if you were going to race and you had a boost controller you could change your boost settings, then with a laptop change yoru fuel map etc. before each race to match the boost settings with each pre-tuned map. I'd definitely do this on a dyno however to make sure it was 100% accurate.
