Default Datalogging hardware/software.

I've got a 94 Civic, do these cars have any kind of ALDL connector?

I'd like to do some datalogging just to see what it's like on this platform.

I've got a generic OBD1 cable that I use on other cars (OBD1 GM's). No special connector, just a PCM ground and ALDL serial data line.

Will this work on my Honda, or do I need a Honda specific cable?

Pretty sure you need to have a chipped ECU and solder in a datalogging header

Or you can get something like ostrich. do a google search.

No the ostrich doesnt datalog only does real time loading of roms, you do need a chipped ecu though and the datalogging header. There isnt much need for it if your not tuning it. There is freesoftware for datalogging called freelog and then you can buy others like crome pro and hondata etc.
