How do you get rid of dead spots?? i know the civic engine isn't one with a lot of torque, but i seem to get dead spots down low in the rev range, about 2500-3000rpm.
is there an easy way of getting rid of them? i've heard just by doing an oil change and plugs it will help, is this true?

dont you change your oil and plugs anyway? but check the timing and set it at about 18* BTDC, and use premium fuel, and it should get rid of those pesky spots in the low-end of the rev range.

i change my oil, oil filter and plugs every 5000 miles to be on the safe side, and i always use high octane fuel,
but i still manage to find dead spots... maybe its just me[&o]
Im chipping her soon, so maybe that will sort it out?

wow, i hope youre using the cheapest plugs you can find. 5k is way overkill. get some decent Bosch or NGK platinums, not those damn +4s, just standard plats, then change them at like 20-30K.
