Question other spots for jackstands than usual spots?

I have a friend who's a Mercedes-Benz mechanic whose first job was with Honda. When working on the car for me a while back, he said if I jack the car up using those notches that come with the car, that I'll need spots to put the jackstands once I'm ready to set it down on them. He showed me where, but this was like a year ago and I can't remember where and can't get in touch w/ him.

I don't want to damage anything. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to put jackstands under the tie-rods. Maybe the control arms??

Thanks!

Definitely not the tie rods. Control arms are fine. There should be a place under the radiator support and a place under the rear bumper (might look like a hook) which should be fine to raise the vehicle with.

Thanks. Wanted to get my oil changed today if possible. I have ramps, but they only work with my 17" rims. With the stock rims (14" I think), the front bumper hits the ramp before the tires can get all the way to the top of the ramps.
