Did a tune up and the car died

I checked it out today and the rotor was on tight. It was the coil that went bad. Had to fork out 92$ for a new one. At least most of the ignition is brand new now.

i was hoping it would have been the free fix.... wonder why coil would go like that... ??? good thing nobody took me up on that bet!!
and the coil is inside the distributor, at least i got within two inches of the problem...lol

For all I know the coil was never changed so I'm sure it was about due. I wonder if when I first installed the cap I didn't put it on straight so the spring on the coil wasn't in full contact making the coil work harder to get voltage through. I made sure to put everything on as straight as possible. Cruised around for a little bit and it all worked fine. If it goes in a few days then I'll get pretty pissed.

yes, thats why i changed the cap and coil on mine, iipring..
